Today, There is Hope

This morning I asked dad if he was ready for a can in the belly, our terms for tube feeding, and he said, "Sure, might as well." Then I said, "Or, would you rather have oatmeal?"  He said, "Yeah, oatmeal, oatmeal."

After the last round of radiation his mouth and throat have been in such a rough state that we went exclusively back to the tube.  I will take today as a good sign of progress.  He even said the oatmeal was good (of course it was with a handful of Ghirardelli chocolate chips, a splash of Soy milk and a squeeze of Flax Seed oil, my latest health craze).

He and I are drinking Immune Plus Emergen C this morning as well.

When times are dark it is always encouraging to have a glimmer of hope.

Romans 5:5
And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
